This morning, when I checked root's mailbox on the only machine I
actually own on the blackdown.org network, I the following message.
For the record, xensei.com is my provider, pn.com is xensei's provider.

It has come to my attention that the superuser of blackdwon.org
has been mirroring gbltech's ftp site. blackdown.org has no
authorization to mirror lysergic.gbltech.com but is doing so anyway. I
have sent root@blackdwon.org email on this and he has done nothing to
stop it. the ftp mirror site is warez.blackdown.org. Watch the fallowing
log of a ftp session:

lysergic:~# ftp warez.blackdown.org

I want this stoped asap. We do not run a warez site here and don't plan
on letting anyone else do this eather. If this action does not stop in 3
days I and the other admins here will report this to the locak FBI for
further investigation.

I just woke up to find two profane, and rather belligerent email messages
in my mail box from, Danny Crawford. In an effort to clear a matter that has
, to be quite honest, caused me to laugh more today than I have in several
years of my life, I would like to display the dns record for
'warez.blackdown.org'.

(2:25pm) karl@shadowridge (~) % nslookup warez.blackdown.org
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Name: warez.blackdown.org
Address: 127.0.0.1

Were you to do this from any machine on the civilized internet, I'm sure
the results would be the same.

I'm afraid, Mr. Crawford, you're the victim of a fairly amusing prank, and
even worse, your own lack of knowledge, which I'm quite pleased to
comment, has nothing to do with me.

Yours sincerely,
karl@blackdown.org

I probably haven't laughed this much in several months ;-)
