Since becoming the object of jokes on David Letterman's late-night talk show (featured regularly and even flown in), Assman has become one of the most recognized men in Canada. According to the Angus Reid polling group, half of Canadians recognize Assman's name and more than 1 million said that they would vote for him if he ran for office.
